Custom Home Builders in Sarnia, ON

Sarnia is the City of Sarnia, in Lambton County, and the 11 custom home builders in Ontario on this page work across the whole county, not only inside the city. Some are based in Sarnia itself. Others work from Point Edward, Wyoming and Petrolia, and Henderson Builders Limited builds homes in Sarnia, Petrolia, Wyoming, Corunna and Courtright. A buyer here is choosing among builders who already travel between these towns.

Custom work is the centre of the trade. William Standen Co. designs and builds custom homes from its Sarnia base, with offices also in London and Grand Bend and projects reaching Muskoka. Its work also covers renovations, additions and accessory dwelling units. Nordell Homes builds custom homes from an office on Phillip Street East, with an in-house design team led by Cassandra Nordell and an interior design team that works with each client on selections. Both pair design with construction, an arrangement that is common among builders in this part of Lambton County.

Energy performance comes up more than once. Botma Homes serves Sarnia and Lambton County from Wyoming and builds both conventional homes and ICF homes, made with Insulated Concrete Forms. Nordell Homes promotes high performance homes with healthy materials and good indoor air quality. Signature Lux Builders, based in Point Edward, has more than 40 custom homes behind it and works in new construction, major reconstruction and remodelling. It builds luxury and energy-efficient homes and also takes on office and retail spaces.

Long-established names sit alongside newer ones. Henderson Builders Limited has worked out of Sarnia since 1983, builds commercial projects across Southwestern Ontario and markets its houses as Henderson Luxury Homes. It has taken design and build contracts since 1995. Jaron Homes has built custom luxury homes in Sarnia and across Lambton since 1990, including in Corunna, Petrolia, Oil Springs, Brights Grove and Camlachie. Key Homes has built new homes in Sarnia since 2007 and has completed over 160 homes. Buyers can choose from named models such as the Huron, Kawartha, Maitland, Georgian and Niagara, or commission a custom home.
