About bytown timberworks
Bytown Timberworks is a timber frame company with its shop in Greely, just outside Ottawa, crafting timber framed structures and furniture since 2004. It works as a design and build firm: a preliminary 3D sketch comes first, then a final set of shop drawings once the design is agreed. Projects include full timber frame houses, cottages, great rooms, sunrooms, gazebos, custom bunkies and timber additions, all built with precise joinery in the manner of old guild craftsmen. Pre-designed frames are also available, and the shop sits on Bailey Line Road. Clients who already have a design and only need the frame built are covered too. The look leans to heavy timbers, steep roofs and classic joinery. Rated 5.0 from one Google review.
